Winter Wishes

Dedicated to my mother, the main feature of this quilting book is the block quilt shown of the cover. Measuring 88" x 100", Winter Wishes features fourteen applique blocks that depict some favorite scenes of the holiday season. In addition to this quilt, our book contains a number of other quilting projects such as wall hangings, placemats, and stitchery designs as well as gift cards and tags for the Christmas holiday. We hope this new quilting book helps you to enjoy the winter months as much as we do here at The Stitch Connection.

When Children Dream

Dedicated to my father, When Children Dream is my first book of quilting projects and what could be more precious than sharing the dreams of our children. Measuring 40" x 56", the quilt can be made for a boy or girl depending on which patterns you choose. While boys may prefer frogs, dinosaurs, trains, and tractors, little girls would rather see dolls, dancing, animals, and dress up. Patterns and directions are also included for a small wall hanging (40" x 44") and pillows as well as how to frame any one of these block designs to create a wall picture for a childs room. Which dream will you quilt?

Patterns

#216 Santa's Calendar

Included in the hand pattern are three styles of quilts. The 57" x 73" Redwork quilt has a
decorative stitch added as a border on the blocks with rickrack sewn on the lattice. The 30" x 38" Redwork has monthly banners. The colored quilt has tips to achieve a fun and colorful quilt using either crayons, colored pencils or fabric markers.

#214 Winter Blues

The 44"x48" quilt is avalable in two styles. The Snow People and stars are stitched on to ovals with decorative stitching added around the oval shape.

#151 Sew Cute

The 45" x 65" boy and girl quilts are simple and quick to assemble. Suggestions are given for decorative stitches to be applied to the traditional applique shapes. Decorative stitching on the background helps to frame the bears.

#150 Snuggle Up

The 42" x 62" boy and girl traditional applique quilt features different sewing techniques. They include directions for couching, pintucks, bobbin work, button and circular attachments, edge foot and piping. Decorative stitches enhance the backgrounds and applique shapes.

#149 Funky Flowers

The nine designs for the 49" x 61" wall hanging are fun, fast and easy to applique. Instead of the traditional blanket stitch to attach the flowers to the background, try a decorative stitch. An optional technique of pre-quilting the

#137 Country Miss and Flowers

Turn an ordinary sweatshirt with set-in sleeves into a Spring jacket that you'll be proud to wear! In addition to appliques of flowers, trees, and our Country Miss, we use blanket stitching around the armholes and ruching trim on the cut edges for a finished look. Pattern includes directions for hand or machine applique as well as full-size patterns. Finish with dimensional flowers for a beautiful spring jacket.

#136 Dressing Up With Santa

Turn an ordinary sweatshirt with set-in sleeves into a Christmas jacket that you'll b proud to wear! In addition to appliques of Santa, a snowman, angels, and stars, we use blanket stitching around the armholes and ruching trim on the cut edges for a finished look. #135 Star Struck Santa

Fast and simple to make, the center of this Christmas wall hanging focuses on folk art applique using a Blanket Stitch. Measuring 36" square, Santa is framed by a border of 12 pieced Sawtooth Stars with applique tree in each corner. We used six different fabrics for the background and six different fabrics for our stars. This Star Struck Santa is sure to become a family treasure!

#129 Machine Applique Sampler

Learn how to Satin, Blind Hem, Blanket and Straight Stitch on this flora sampler that measures 44" square. There are four different floral designs to applique on this sampler of machine stitching. Then finish your design with an appliqued Garden Maze setting. You'll be surprised at how much fun our Machine Applique Sampler can be!

#127 Christmas Samplings

Satin Stitch applique makes Christmas Samplings an easy wall hanging to complete for the holidays. Measuring 27" x 38", this Christmas quilt includes a Star Block, a Heart Block, Tree Blocks, A Santa Block, a House Block, and a Snow Lady Block. Using fusible web, these designs can also be used to decorate sweatshirts or towels to create special gifts for family and friends this Christmas.

Bring the spirit of the Christmas season into your home for family and friends with the quilting projects included in this pattern.
